About Flow Masters Pool League

Flow Masters Pool League (FMP) was founded in December 2020 by Alton W. Lewis, Jr.  It is headquartered in Severn, Maryland, USA. In September 2021, he brought in a new partner, Robert (Rob) Armstead.  We make up the FMP Operators.

FMP is regarded as an up and coming progressive format of play that features head-to-head play between non-professional opponents.  We feature both handicapped play and non-handicapped play (FMP Masters).

The League is the governing body for amateur pool (pocket billiards) in the United States and features pool play players who have not achieved the established ranking of “professional”.

FMP conducts pool leagues and tournaments in various locales for its patrons.  Its matches feature several pool game types/formats: 9-Ball, 10-Ball, and 8-Ball, all rolled into one competitive match.

It incorporates a ruleset that governs how the three-format game and competition shall be played.

A FMP team matches consist of three one-on-one competitions, where opponents playing FMP Masters engage in a “race-to-six” match, in the following format and order: four (4) games of 9-Ball, followed by four (4) games of 10-Ball, followed by three (3) games of 8-Ball (in that order with no deviation in game type or count). The first player to win six (6) games is determined the winner of the match.  Handicap matches use a rating system based on Fargo ratings.  So, as you play FMP, it contributes to updating your Fargo score.  This is big!

The games use rules similar to those found in BCA and TAP, with slight variation.

In addition to this team play, FLOW organizers at the local level often set up non-team tournaments, doubles play, and other formats for competitive prizes.

FMP hosts several sessions of FMP Masters per year.

Ballers, Shot-Callers Needed

For the elite-level players!

Five players maximum per team, so the recommendation is to find and bring players that are true ballers or soon to be ballers!  You play three players per night in a race to six (6) match format.  Forfeited matches wins 4-0.

Skill, Not Luck

Throw handicaps and slop out the window!

Very little room to gain an advantage or game the system. No handicaps or skill levels.   Random racks strongly enforced; no repeats if possible.  Winner racks their own balls.  And luck has been removed, meaning no winning on break.  Money ball must be spotted and shooter continues to shoot.
